African Macaw DMC and Safaris – Cape Town

To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful experience for all our guests, partners, and staff, please observe the following rules and regulations when participating in tours and activities arranged by African Macaw DMC and Safaris.

1. Respect for Local Cultures and Environment
  • Respect the customs, traditions, and laws of South Africa.
  • Avoid littering, disturbing wildlife, or damaging natural and cultural heritage sites.
  • Follow all park or reserve rules when visiting protected areas.
2. Punctuality
  • Clients must be on time for all scheduled departures, excursions, and activities.
  • Delays may result in missed experiences and are not grounds for refunds.
3. Safety First
  • Always follow safety instructions provided by guides and staff.
  • Seatbelts must be worn in vehicles where provided.
  • Participation in adventure activities is at your own risk and should match your physical capabilities.
4. Alcohol and Drug Policy
  • Alcohol consumption is permitted in moderation and only in designated areas.
  • The use of illegal drugs or substances is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the tour without a refund.
5. Guide Authority
  • Tour guides and drivers represent African Macaw DMC and Safaris and have the authority to make decisions in the best interests of the group.
  • Clients must comply with instructions from guides, especially regarding safety and itinerary changes.
6. Dress Code and Conduct
  • Clients should dress appropriately, particularly when visiting cultural or religious sites.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior towards other guests, guides, or locals will not be tolerated.
7. Smoking Policy
  • Smoking is not permitted in vehicles, enclosed areas, or during nature walks.
  • Designated smoking areas will be indicated where available.
8. Children on Tour
  • Children must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times.
  • Some activities may not be suitable for young children; always check in advance.
9. Damages and Liability
  • Clients are responsible for any intentional damage caused to property, vehicles, or accommodation during the tour.
  • African Macaw DMC and Safaris is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings.
10. Photography
  • Always ask permission before taking photographs of local people.
  • Photography may be restricted in certain areas (e.g., government buildings).

Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the tour without refund and at the traveler’s own expense.
